Chats

How conversations work and where they're stored.

Starting and switching chats

Click "New chat" to start a fresh conversation. Previous conversations are listed in the sidebar and can be reopened at any time.

Where history lives

Chat history is stored in your browser's local storage, tied to your signed-in account on that device - not in a central RG AI database. Clearing your browser data or using a different device/browser will not show your older chats.

Formatting

  • Code responses render as syntax-aware, copyable blocks
  • Markdown (headings, lists, tables) renders properly, not as raw text
  • Long responses stream in as they're generated rather than appearing all at once

Tip: You can clear all chat history at once from Settings → Profile → Clear chat history.
